Position: Special Education
My name is Leita Conner, and this is my 7 th year teaching. I am beginning my 3 rd year at Emma Sansom
Middle. I previously taught elementary school in Etowah County. I am one of the sponsors for the tech
club here at ESMS.
My husband, daughter, & I moved to Gadsden from West Palm Beach, Florida 14 years ago; I have been
married to Edward for 27 years. Our daughter, Brittany, is starting her senior year at Auburn University.
I obtained my Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Jacksonville State University, and am a Highly
Qualified teacher.
When I am not at school, I enjoy reading, gardening, canning, and sewing! This year I am learning how to
crochet.
I am excited to be a Sansom Rebel; it’s going to be a great year.
